It’s always fun seeing how much little ones change in just a few short months, which is why I absolutely love when clients book multiple sessions or take advantage of my Grow With Me Plan. Just like her 6 month session, Sweet Ms. A’s one year milestone session allowed for a multi-layered comparison. How much did she grow in six months, how has her big sister grown, and how much are they alike and different at the same age? These were the questions I enjoyed answering and documenting through photography.
Before taking a look at photos from this precious girl’s one year milestone, I’ve got to say something. I think all parents can agree on two things — life is busy and time simply flies by. It might be cliche, but I swear our children grow when we blink. My own kiddos have changed so much since I first announced we would be homeschooling three and a half years ago. And they’ve kept me sooo busy. As a result, there are quite a few sessions I haven’t had the chance to share on the blog yet. As I write this post, I can’t help but wonder what Ms. A looks like now, as she’s nearing 3 years old. Since big sis is two years older, I can imagine Ms. A acting the same as she did during this session.
When I shared Ms. A’s last milestone session, I mentioned how much these sisters are alike. They were born at the same time of the year, share the same initials, and the same nursery. I’ve got to say they both have the sweetest smiles, too. Miss A wasn’t feeling quite herself the day of this session though. So her smiles were more difficult to capture this time around. Because she was feeling a bit shy, I managed to capture quite a few candid details though. And keeping with the flashback/comparison “theme”, we brought in some of the same elements and toys they’ve both shared. Ms. A’s mama was able to dress her in the same outfit her sister wore at her 13 month session, too.
And just as before, I enjoyed watching these sisters interact with each other. They were still typical siblings in every way. 🙂 Little Sis wanted to do everything Big Sis was doing, and Big Sis enjoyed being in charge.
Toes! Newborn toes, baby toes… Doesn’t matter. I think they’re precious. 🙂
Look at her beautiful curls! <3
One of the most comfortable places to be is in the arms of the ones we love. <3
