Now that most of the hustle and bustle of the season is over, I’m finally able to share another adorable session from earlier this year with y’all — Mr. C’s first 48 session! He was so fresh and new when I met him back in August. Such an incredibly sweet bundle of blue, all wrapped up as the perfect present for his family.
Baby C’s mama first contacted me about 1/2 way through her pregnancy. I was excited to find out they were going to wait to find out the gender of their little one until birth. Since we waited to find out the gender of our youngest, I know first hand it’s not always an easy thing to do. However, it really is a lot of fun. 🙂 I know I was anxiously awaiting the gender announcement when they went into the hospital and rejoiced in the the safe birth of their healthy baby boy. And of course, what I was feeling was nothing compared to what Mr. C’s family felt. There was so much joy and excitement in their room the next day. It was simply a pleasure to be there with them.
On the day of Little C’s fresh 48 session, the sun was shining and the sky was the perfect shade of blue. Just before I arrived he decided he was hungry, allowing me the chance to capture a truly sweet bonding experience between mama and son. Nursing photos are some of my favorites. There’s no telling how long nursing will last, since so very many factors are in place. And no matter how long it does last – and how long it feels like it lasted – whenever you look back, it feels like the blink of an eye. It’s so special having a memory of this bonding experience to look back on and cherish forever. Following snack, we captured all the little details — tiny feet and hands, the look and feel of the room… More bonding moments between father and son, as well as between mama and daddy too. There’s something about having a baby that takes the parents’ relationship to an entirely new level. The two of you lean into each other and become more than you’ve ever been before. <3
Baby C, it was more than obvious how smitten your parents and grandparents are with you. They couldn’t wait for your arrival and couldn’t get enough of holding you when you finally did arrive. My hope for you through the years is that you know just how special and loved you truly are.
