Here she is again, at 4 days new! Little Miss M is such a darling. Can’t you tell her big brothers are so happy to have a baby sister to love?

We couldn’t have had a better day for Baby M’s newborn session. Not to hot, not too cold, and plenty of sunshine to be had. While you can’t really tell from the photos, little Miss M must have been excited about the amazing weather too, because she insisted upon being awake nearly the entire time. With lots of patience, snug wraps, and several snack breaks we ended up with some truly beautiful photos of this precious baby sister. After having two boys, this mama enjoyed picking out which little tiebacks to use in hair. We had a great time talking and capturing these treasured memories.

Oh Miss M, you simply are a little darling. I may never get over how you share a birthday with your daddy and two older brothers. It’s one amazing thing to have in common with each other. While your birthday might be the same, there’s no denying you are unique and special. You have two brothers to look up to and learn from, as well as a very proud mommy and daddy. You are loved more than you know. I’m looking forward to capturing your growth over this next year, and seeing your personality shine through.

If you’d like to find out about having a newborn session in the comfort of your own home, I’d be happy to hear from you. And if you’ve missed it, and want to see more of this little beauty’s story, check out her mama’s maternity session as well as her birth and fresh 48 photos too.

I had a difficult time narrowing down which highlights to share from this baby sister’s in home session. Here they are. Enjoy!

I’m so excited to finally be sharing Miss M’s fresh 48 session! Fresh and new. And oh so tiny and perfect. A dark haired beauty — such a precious gift for such a wonderful family.

I’ve spoken before about how babies are only this fresh and new for a short time. I remember staring at my own babies for hours on end during those first few days — watching them sleep, counting their little toes, watching their tiny fingers curl around mine, and simply breathing in their presence. There’s nothing quite like it. Which is why I absolutely love photographing newborns during their first two days. I want to be able to bring parents back to this sense of awe and wonder with my photographs — how it felt to finally meet their little miracle after months of waiting, marveling at this creation of theirs… Pure and fresh. Each photo is like a mini time machine, taking you back to visit these memories.

As I mentioned when sharing M’s birth session, we’ll be seeing more of her and her family soon. I am honored to have captured so many memories for this family of Baby M’s story – starting with her mama’s maternity session and continuing on through to her newborn session which took place a few days after this. I can’t wait to see how she grows over this year.

Here are some highlights from Miss M’s first 48 session. Enjoy!

Six weeks ago today, I had the pleasure of helping welcome sweet Baby M into the world. I was up before the sun, heading to the hospital to join this wonderful family as we awaited the arrival of their third baby, their beautiful baby girl. Any day a baby is born is a special day. However, this little darling has a VERY special birthday.

After her mama’s maternity session, I mentioned how it had been almost 2 years exactly since we awaited the arrival of her brother. As it turns out, they actually share a birthday. Baby M doesn’t just share her birthday with one brother though.. She shares it with BOTH brothers AND her daddy! This is some seriously crazy, and absolutely amazing stuff right here. <3 Two years before I spent the same day with the same people, doing near about the same thing. It was… surreal. And one of my favorites parts of the day? When her brothers brought her flowers!

I’m so excited to share a glimpse of her birth story with you. You’ll be seeing more of her, too since she also had a fresh 48 session the next day, and a newborn session that weekend! Welcome sweet baby. We’re so happy you’re here!

Here are some highlights from their special day. Enjoy! (And if you would like to schedule a birth session, please contact me.)

I’m thrilled to finally be introducing sweet Baby P. At 8 amazing days new, this little beauty was a star at her in home newborn session!

Just about 4 weeks ago I got to meet Miss P and her family. She started out bright eyed – looking around everywhere. I love having the chance to photograph newborns when they are awake. More often than not their eye color changes, so it always feels special to document how they look so early on. When it came time for family photos, little P slept soundly in mommy and daddy’s arms. She was more than content being held. She wasn’t a fan of being uncovered, and most certainly did not want to be on her tummy — which was more than okay. Every baby has his/her own personality and I work with that, keeping baby’s comfort in mind. Her gallery was simply beautiful and filled with good variety.

Oh darling little P — you are such a precious little girl. You have an amazing family who loves you very, very much. I am so happy to have been able to capture these little details of you. Details that all too quickly change. Someday soon your parents are going to wonder how you were ever this small, and you’ll hear them tell you time and time again you’re growing too fast. When you look back on these photos, perhaps you’ll understand. If not at that time, eventually… Just know you’ve changed their lives forever, and that they will always see you as their baby girl.

If you’d like to find out more about having an at home newborn session for your own little one, I’d be happy to hear from you.

Here are just a few highlights from this new baby girl’s in home session. Enjoy!

Early last month I had the pleasure of photographing one of my favorite families again as they awaited the arrival of their third child. After having two little boys, they’re welcoming a bundle of pink this time! And it was an absolutely beautiful day for this sunset maternity session.

There was a bit of cold front coming in, so there was a slight chill to the air, and a nice gentle breeze. We started off with family photos so the boys could head off and play. The session was rather laid back with quite a few jokes thrown in to bring out some genuine smiles. And there’s no denying the love between these two. I can’t help but to smile whenever I see them together. While photographing this happy family, I couldn’t help but think back to where we were two short years ago — standing on the beach at sunset, anticipating the arrival of their second son. This mama was telling me all about how she hoped he would be born on a very special day.. and he was! (By the way, doesn’t she look amazing expecting her third?) Two years later it’s rather astounding that baby girl was due to arrive at the same time! How cool is that? More on this crazy awesomeness when I share photos from baby sister’s birthday. 🙂

I really do love experiencing the joy and anticipation of families when a new little one is on the way. Each pregnancy, just like each new baby, is so unique and beautiful. I think every one deserves to be captured. If you’re expecting and interested in booking a session, or simply finding out more info, please contact me.

I had a difficult time choosing favorites from this session. Here are a few highlights from it. Enjoy!
